COmhrac

Comhrac is a micro short film created by myself in 2023. It was originally one of my early camera test ideas when I first went freelance that developed into a little cinematic short film. The short was inspired by Kurosawa Samurai films. When watching one I thought " wouldn't it be class if I shot something like this with an Irish twist" and from that small spark this was born.

Shot in the gorgeous location of Three Castle Head in West Cork. The film shows two warriors face off in a battle of great importance.

This little short will always have a great place in my heart. I shot it with friends and family on a gorgeous spring day by the cliffs. We worked between groups of tourists, using only a Sony A7iv, a tripod and a gimbal.

The grade and the custom score by Jade Leamkaraskul really elevated it to a new level and thankfully this short was selcetd and screened at the IndieCork Film Festival in 2025.
